Black Friday and Cyber Monday are barely over. Although many Cyber Cyber Week deals are steal going strong and most retailers have holiday sales still going. (Most holiday sales are as good or almost as good as Black Friday. For many retailers, it’s the same promotion with a new name and new promo code. Check out all the current holiday sales here.)
Christmas is still weeks away. But with Covid, labor shortages, and supply chain woes, shipping is going to be a beast.
Very few retailers are guaranteeing delivery by Christmas, and those who are are setting early deadlines for your order. In order to get your package here in time for Christmas morning, you’ll need to place that order as soon as December 3rd.

Hanna Andersson has set a December 6th deadline for free standard shipping. That magic date is December 7th for Tea Collection, Jamie Kay, and H&M.
Not all retailers are offering expedited shipping during the holiday season. And for a few retailers, expedited shipping is the only option available.
Whatever you’re shopping for and whoever you’re shopping for, don’t get caught empty-handed on the 25th. Plan now. Shop early. Whether the deals are labeled Black Friday, Cyber Week, Small Business Saturday, Green Tuesday, or Holiday Sale, seasonal savings are still going strong.
Ship Date Deadlines to Get it There by Christmas December 25th

These ship by dates are based on available information on featured merchants’ websites.
These ship times are for U.S. shipping within the contiguous 48 United States. They are conservative estimates. If a merchant listed a shipment time of 3 to 7 business days, I would assume 7 business days to cushion for worst-case scenarios. Actual standard shipping times could be 3-4 days shorter or more.
Also, there may be order cut-off times on the retailer websites. Commmon order cut-off timesm are 5PM or noon.
When is the Last Date to Ship Before Christmas?
To get your package by Christmas Day (on December 24th or earlier), you’ll need to get that order in by December 23rd. A few merchants can get your shipment there overnight if you place your order in time.
If you wait until last minute, you’re going to have to pay expedited shipping fees which can range from $18 to $100 or more. Unless you’re able and willing to do in-store pickup.
